Join Historic Stanton, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in a birthday celebration for James Weldon Johnson, first principal of Stanton School (1894-1902), and composer of the lyrics of Lift Ev’ry Voice & Sing. The special program kicks off at 11 a.m. and include live entertainment by Akia Uwanda, food trucks and more on the lawn of Old Stanton School. Honor the legacy of Jacksonville’s acclaimed native son. All donations tax-deductible.
