A city only gets one chance to celebrate a bicentennial and Jacksonville’s 200th Birthday would not be complete without a milestone event. To commemorate the occasion, the Jacksonville Historical Society is seeking donations for a unique permanent marker – a bronze commemorative bell. Click here to donate.

Also, as Jacksonville’s gift to its future citizens, the Jacksonville Historical Society will undertake to publish a collection of oral histories and other family stories, including thoughts about Jacksonville’s future.
