How will you commemorate the city’s 200th birthday?

by | Mar 11, 2022

A city only gets one chance to celebrate a bicentennial and Jacksonville’s 200th Birthday would not be complete without a milestone event. To commemorate the occasion, the Jacksonville Historical Society is seeking donations for a unique permanent marker – a bronze commemorative bell. Click here to donate.

Also, as Jacksonville’s gift to its future citizens, the Jacksonville Historical Society will undertake to publish a collection of oral histories and other family stories, including thoughts about Jacksonville’s future. The answers to three short questions will provide the basis for this book. Click here to tell us your bicentennial story!
Jacksonville is One City, Many Stories and we would be pleased to share yours.
