How will you celebrate Jacksonville’s Bicentennial?
A city only gets one chance to celebrate its bicentennial. The Jacksonville Historical Society (JHS), in partnership with community organizations representing Arts & Culture, Business & Industry, Education, Environment, Faith, Government, Health & Wellness, Media, Nonprofit, and Sports & Entertainment, will commemorate, celebrate and elevate Jacksonville’s bicentennial with initiatives and events throughout the bicentennial year. A Bicentennial commemoration and celebration event will be held Saturday, June 11, 2022, near the date (June 15) formally recognized by historians as when Jacksonville was established.
Throughout 2022, we invite you to co-brand your own initiatives or events with the JHS so you can be recognized and promoted on www.jax200.org. By co-branding your event, you may also use the Jax 200 bicentennial logo. We want you to commemorate the bicentennial by celebrating in your own way with your own events. We would also love to help get the word out about your initiatives or events to the public. Be sure to take pictures and document the events or initiatives on social media with the tags #jax200 and #jaxbicentennial.
Sponsorships with the JHS are also available in support of the June 11 public celebration, a bicentennial book, a commemorative bell, or your own unique partnership idea with the JHS. To make an in-kind donation of goods or services, please email bicentennial@jaxhistory.org and someone will contact you to discuss available opportunities.
